What do you like most about your trip:
Without doubt, the ¨cultures¨ in all of the countries that we have visited thus far has been the highlight! South American people have given themselves to Matt and I and made us feel so at home. My spanish is very ¨poco¨ however South American people are very understanding about this.
Which are the must visit places in this destination:
There have been many must see destinations on our trip so far, one of them being Cuzco. Cuzco is a place that you can go and relax, enjoy the fantatsic culture/food and is only hours away from the most breath taking view in Peru, Machu Pichu. Cuzco is full of friendly locals that are always keen on helping asstranged tourists find their way around their lovely city. The Staff at Che Lagarto have been very welcoming and more than helpful! They have made Matts and mine trip so much easier and a much more enjoyable experience!
One other must visit place in South America is the beautiful city of Santiago. Santiago has so much to offer tourists! There are fantatsic bars, restaurants and nightclubs for the young and restless and there are picturesque wineries, cellardoors and vineyards only an hour or so outside of the city. Not only this, but Santiago (as you probably know) is surrounded my beautiful hills and rolling mountains!
What is your best travel tip:
My number one tip for travelling would be to always have a ¨plan B¨ in mind. It is important to have a ¨plan B¨ because there will be situations on your travels that you wont be able to control (eg. Plane being cancelled) in which case you will need to have an alternate option to swiftly continue your travels. There has been 3 or 4 occassions so far for Matt and I that we have had to use an alternate option. If we had not have had a ¨plan B¨ in place i would not be typing this email to you right now!
My name is Nick Thompson. I have been travelling with my cousin Matt Hagias around South America for the past 2 months. We have visited countries such as Peru, Bolivia, Chile and are currently situated in Argentina.
